Call for Papers

We invite you to submit abstracts for oral presentations for MEWS37. Detailed information is listed as below. We are looking forward to your submission.

  1. Theme of Presentation
    We are seeking presentations dealing with EEE parts and components (including COTS) for space application, as well as their related technologies such as manufacturing, testing, inspection and S&MA. This year, we will welcome the presentations on passive parts as well as active parts.

  2. Presentation
    There are two presentation styles, On-site presentation or (On-site) Video presentation. The presentation style, On-site presentation or Video presentation, should be chosen at the time of submission. On-site presentation is expected to be chosen. If you will be not able to come to the venue, you can choose Video presentation. Changes will be accepted until the end of September.
    • On-site presentation
    In-person presentation at the venue should be performed either in English or Japanese. All presentation materials should be prepared in English. We will provide each individual presenter with up to 20 minutes including Q&A.
    • Video presentation by prerecorded video
    Presentation materials prepared and submitted in advance on video format (.mp4) will be viewed on screen at the venue. The presentation slides (.ppt(x)/.pdf) will be also requested to submit and will be published on MEWS Website.
    Presentation should be written and delivered in English. The length should be 15 minutes nominally or no longer than 17 minutes excluding Q&A. Presentation video must be sent to the MEWS secretariat one week prior to the workshop.

    The above may be partially changed due to program reasons.
    Simultaneous interpretation will be provided at the venue.
  3. Deadline of Application
    July 19th (Fri.), 2024 (JST)
    Deadline may change depending on the number of applications received.
  4. Notification of selection results
    In the event that we receive a large number of applications, we may decline your application. Each company can provide only one presentation basically. We will notify every applicant of the selection results via e-mail.

  5. Privacy policy and Copyright
    1. MEWS secretariat collects personal information of applicants for identifying them, notifying the selection results and informing necessary procedures for the presentations.
    2. Generally, personal information collected is maintained for 2 years since your last log-in date and deleted after the period.
    3. Please read and agree to the "Term of use and Privacy policy" before entering online registration system.
    4. Consent for handling personal information based on GDPR" is applied for residents in the EU area or accesses from the EU area, and which shall have priorities in case of conflicts occurred with descriptions of "Term of use and Privacy policy".
    5. In principle, copyrights of accepted abstracts are transferred to the MEWS secretariat.
