Term of use and Privacy policy

Please read and agree to the following privacy policy and register as a MEWS-website member to use online registration system for participating in the next MEWS and to access the MEWS presentation materials.

Also please read and agree to "Consent for handling personal information based on GDPR" which is applied for the persons in the EU area or accessing from the EU area, and which shall have priority in case of conflict with the following description concerning the privacy policy.

Utilizing of Personal data;

1. Your e-mail address (domain) is used as the login ID for MEWS-website.
   A free e-mail address can't be used.[e.g. gmail.com, yahoo.com]
2. Your personal data will be maintained for two years from your last login date and deleted after the period.
3. Your personal data can be edited or deleted at any time by yourself while the site is open.
4. We take rational security measures to prevent loss, leakage, misuse, falsification, and demolition of the collected information/data which an individual can be identified. However, please be aware that it is difficult to guarantee the absolute protection of the information/data despite our utmost security measures.
5. Every user is kindly requested to treat the user ID and password as confidential information and especially the password should not be disclosed to others.

Handling of Personal data;

1. To send you an e-mail about information of MEWS.
2. To offer services to MEWS participants. [e.g. distributing "Certificate of Participation" at MEWS]
3. To offer access to MEWS presentation materials.
4. To use for statistical data report(e.g. No. of participants).
5. JAXAs site policy is applied for any other than the above.
